Film 1963-
Just started this gallery with the first scans of b/w negative film shot by me during the period 1963-1990. Mainly ORWO 100-400 ASA 135 mm film from the former German Democratic Republic, developed with whatever chemicals were available. Cameras used were the rangefinders Kodak Retinette IIB with a fixed Scheneider-Kreuznach 45 mm f/2.8 lens, Leica IIIc with a Summitar 50 mm f/2 lens, Yashica YF with a Yashikor 50 mm f/2.8 lens, and SLR Zenit TTL with a Helios 44M f/2 or the TAIR Photosniper 300 mm lenses (ballet). Date taken is in the photo file name. Subjects are many in this first sampling: Oriente mountains while picking coffee in the Autumn of 1965, Isle of Pines (now Youth) in 1967 (I erroneusly named the files with 1966; images where I appear I set the camera for a selfie) with senior high school colleagues , junior high school friends, Havana carnivals in 1975, self portraits and "selfies" with my wife Loti, my parents, National Cuban Ballet performances...a lot more coming as I find time for endless scanning...
