Greens
This is one of the five color photo galleries in this Folder that show parts of a documentary street photography work project, still in development, in which I try to convey the new day-to-day reality that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to Cubans living in the capital city. I have come to realize that when I’m out photographing in what I call the “color mood”, there’s always a specific color that first catches my eye, and makes me press the camera shutter. This “triggering” color can be something largely prevalent in the scene, either in the background or the foreground, or just a small unexpected detail that becomes important for me. Based on the aforementioned, I have produced five separate “color-driven galleries”: Reds, Blues, Greens, Pinks-Violets, and Oranges-Yellows.
Photos have been taken since April 2020, mainly in my Vedado neighborhood, and while making my dawn and early morning walks for exercise, or to buy produce, bread, and groceries. Cameras used were a6400 with 16-70m mm lens, a6300 with 75-300 mm lens, and a6500 with 20 mm lens. All files processed in Adobe Camera Raw 12.x
